I am a contemporary artist who specializes in painting the American landscape. I paint what I see around me, in the quiet beauty of the rural midwest. I love painting the quiet & peaceful landscapes that surround me in the old American Heartland. I have been working on a series of paintings, that show my impression of the old barns, farms, fields and wide open skyscapes found here. My work is in private collections throughout the U.S. as well as in: Canada, England, Ireland, Scotland, France, Portugal, Iceland, Belgium, Italy, Brazil, Japan and Australia.

My farm art is the cover art piece on a classical music CD , an article about my original heartland landscape paintings was on the online Art Magazine "Empty Easel" and my paintings illustrate a heritage cookbook.

 

I paint what I see around me and from memories & photos of places that I have been. I hope that you will enjoying my original Heartland Art!

I have been influenced by aspects of impressionism, luminism, tonalism, as well as the abstract and realism. My paintings have been described as having an intriguing peacefulness, in their quiet simplicity.
